Creemore

The Village of Creemore is located in the Township of Clearview, one of the southernmost municipalities in our area. Clearview Township was established in 1994 by the amalgamation of the four former municipalities of the Town of Stayner, The Village of Creemore, and the Townships of Nottawasaga and Sunnidale. Each of these municipalities brings a distinct history and character to the new township. The population of Creemore is 13,800 full-time plus 3,000 part-time.

The charming village of Creemore was named by Harrowsmith magazine as “one of the ten prettiest towns in Canada ” and I’d have to agree. With a population of about 1300 residents, its tree-lined main street is graced by grand century homes and a quaint downtown with unique shops and restaurants. It’s here you will find the popular Creemore Springs Brewery and a tiny tourist attraction – the smallest jail in North America . The village itself is tucked into the Mad River Valley and is surrounded by rolling land called the Purple Hills. To the north, you’ll find Stayner which has a population of 3100 people. It calls itself the “Town of Friendly People ” but also wants you to know that it is the home of the Stayner Siskins hockey team. Weekly hockey games are a favourite activity of the local population who also keep busy through the many local service clubs and churches. Stayner’s largest industry is Reinhart Vinegars. There is a local high school, two elementary schools, a grocery store, medical centre and bustling downtown making it a good choice for families. Clearview is also home to numerous farm operations, rural estates and to Osler Bluff ski club – the oldest established private club in the area.

Creemore is a fantastic community. Our listings for Creemore Real Estate will help you find your perfect home.

The town of Meaford is located on Nottawasaga Bay (a sub-basin of Georgian Bay), only 20 minutes east of the City of Owen Sound and has a nice population for a town of 10,400 residents.

Meaford joins the region as a major agricultural producer and is well known for its apple orchards, which produce close to one-quarter of Ontario ‘s total apple harvest. Meaford is also home to a Canadian Armed Forces training facility, the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre Meaford, located 5 kilometres northwest of town and as small towns go – Meaford has it all. The Meaford Hall is a great spot for live theatre and concerts and the town offers unique boutique shopping experiences.

This area is a true four season destination surrounded by the water and the mountain. Blue Mountain Resort and private ski clubs are within a short drive and championship golf is close by at Lora Bay and the Georgian Bay Club.

Trails, including a section of the Georgian Trail and Beaver River Trail offer hiking, cycling and snowshoeing. Residents and visitors enjoy the vast open space along the waterfront with parks, beaches and swimming, municipal tennis courts and swimming at the pier. Wasaga Beach Real Estate is definitely worth having a look at, with a population of 14,000 full-time plus 16,000 part-time residents. Wasaga Beach real estate offers exciting opportunities for home buyers looking to grow in a Georgian Bay community. Wasaga Beach is Ontario’s fastest growing community and the fourth fastest growing community in Canada.

Located at the southern end of Ontario’s Georgian Bay. Wasaga Beach is the longest freshwater beach in the world with 14 km of safe, sandy shore. The beach lies on Nottawasaga Bay, with views of the rugged Niagara Escarpment.

Wasaga Beach isn’t just known for it’s long sandy beach, it’s also known for canoe routes on the winding Nottawasaga River, and the Nancy Island historic site located near the river’s mouth commemorates the War of 1812. With such spectacular views, the sunsets in Wasaga Beach are magnificent.
